Update

Field techs are starting to prep the primary working cable right now and will splice it first.

Then the long route will be next.

Conduit has been repaired. Prepping and splicing has begun.

Update

There was a fiber cut 6 miles north of Peculiar, MO. A contractor was setting up poles for a power company and dug into our fiber. This cut occurred at 11:21 a.m.

Technicians were dispatched at 11:37 a.m.

The damage is being assessed, and materials are being obtained.

At the current time there is no ETR.

A third party fiber provider has located a fiber cut approximately 6 miles north of Peculiar, MO. The fiber provider has dispatched techs to investigate. No ETR at this time. Updates will be provided as they become available. Thank you for your patience as we work to restore services.

MOREnet backbone fiber between Kansas City and Springfield has been impacted
Suspected fiber cut.
We are currently investigating a possible fiber cut near Kansas City, MO. This is bringing down the following sites as well as backbone connectivity between Springfield and Kansas City.
